Leahy, Sanders Meet With Agriculture Secretary On Dairy Price Supports

On July 29, 2009, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and 10 other senators met with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to discuss dairy price supports. The coalition, led by Leahy, urged Vilsack to use his authority to raise the floor price to help farmers all over the country who are facing falling milk and dairy product prices.
