GĦANAFEST 2008 - Malta Mediterranean Folk Music Festival

GĦANAFEST -- 'Malta Mediterranean Folk Music Festival' presents a showcase of Mediterranean music heritage. The variety and relationship of different traditions performing on the same stage highlights the fact that local expression is truly part of a larger music arena within the Mediterranean basin. The festival also offers the opportunity to get a closer look at the instruments performed during the concerts during short presentations delivered by the musicians themselves. GĦANAFEST is organised by The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts. Artistic director: Ruben Zahra.
