The Legend of Cowpat

Cowpat is out looking for goblins when he gets back he finds Neely waiting for him. She has found what she thinks to be a poetry book and asks Cowpat to read her a poem. He is a little reluctant at first, protesting that "a book this size would take a lifetime to read". Neely is not so easily thwarted. Having decided that there are so many words in that book they can't all be needed she proposes that the poem must be made from the best ones, and that they should tear them out. Cowpat firmly objects to this and a struggle for the book ensues and results in it being torn in half. Cowpat finally comes round to Neely's way of thinking and they begin tearing out the 'best' words. Suddenly, a wind whips up the words and sweeps them away. All is lost until Neely has spots the words form a poem in a nearby hedge. Cowpat has just enough time to read the poem before it falls to the ground again.
