The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs has received numerous calls about secret shopper scams. While there are legitimate secret shopper organization, many of the advertisements, e-mails, and unsolicited telephone calls and mail concerning work as a secret shopper is bogus! This video explains how to avoid and detect secret shopper scams. Resources for finding a legitimate secret shopper organization are also provided.
