Uranium Ores - Carnotite, Uraninite, Gummite

Two uranium ores collectively consisting of the minerals Carnotite, Uraninite, and Gummite. These never reach about 5 mrem/hr on my GammaScout, or 10 mrem/hr on my civil-defense Victoreen CDV 700 6A. They don't register at all on the ionization-chamber type detectors, which would really only detect a nuclear blast :). Anywho, I show analysis of the different radiations and the counts per minute using my GammaScout and civil-defense counters. And don't worry, the hand I use to handle these ores (off-camera) is gloved in a cotton glove to prevent radioactive mineral particles from clinging onto my hand. Check out my website for a brief further discussion of these ores: http://jeremybechen.bravehost.com/radionuclide_collection/uranium/U238_ores_01.shtml PS: I had to purchase these minerals because the nearest Uranium-mine to me is Ruggle's Mine in New Hampshire, and it isn't exactly New Mexico or Utah. In fact, I've never had any luck over there, at all.
