Our Enemy, The State (Part 1 of 5) by Albert Jay Nock
Excerpt audio presentation of Albert Jay Nock's classic "Our Enemy, The State". This is one of the best books ever written about the nature of the State. Originally published in 1935 during the height of FDR's "New Deal", it still speaks directly to us today about the dangers of government power, especially during the recent Bush, and now Obama administrations. http://mises.org
Albert Jay Nock (1870-1945) was an influential American libertarian author, educational theorist, and social critic of the early and middle 20th century. Murray Rothbard was deeply influenced by him, and so was the whole generation of free-market thinkers of the 1950s.
