David Miliband at Chatham House (Highlights)

On July 19th Avaaz.org co-hosted a meeting with David Miliband, the UK Foreign Secretary, at Chatham House in London - here's the webcast. Miliband delivered his first speech, outlining "A New Diplomacy", and agreed to take questions and comments from Avaaz members around the world. He also accepted a "book of global public opinion", with thousands of pieces of advice, warning or encouragement from Avaaz members around the world, and agreed to listen to our campaigns in future. This opening is just a beginning, but it speaks volumes about how global public opinion is becoming the new superpower, and about how leaders like Miliband are engaging with it.
