Egyptian Book of the Dead Papyrus from the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, England

A curious papyrus dated circa 100 B.C., contains two spells to protect the mummy into the after life in ancient Egyptian lore. From March through June 14, 2009, the University of Kentucky's "The Art Museum" in the world class "Singletary Center for the Arts" displays the first public exhibition of many egyptian artifacts, some 3,000 years old. The exhibit includes a papyrus from the infamous Egyptian "Book of the Dead" containing two spells to protect the dead in the after life. Excavating the land of the pyramids produced the real life Indiana Jones: William Matthew Flinders Petrie of Britain (1853-1942). In an effort to rise to the top twenty of national colleges, The Art Museum is on the frontline of the battle and winning.
