Students of the Indian Subcontinent annual event, UTSAV 2006

The Students of the Indian Subcontinent (SIS) is a student group recognized by the Associated Students of the University of Oregon. The SIS consists of members from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar and Bhutan. The mission of the organization is to promote awareness among the general student body and the community about the cultural, economic and social aspects of the Indian subcontinent. They provide a forum to bring together students, staff, faculty and the general community who share a common interest in the Indian subcontinent. On Saturday, Feb 4th, 2006 SIS organized and hosted a cultural show with dinner, performances, a fashion show, and cultural booths.
