Borderline Personality Disorder

I can only speak for myself and from my experience and not for others, every B.P.D (Borderline Personality Disorder) is similar but unique at the same time and it depends on many factors, grade, intensity and so on... so this video can't be applied to everybody and it's not my intention. Despite I'm not 100% ok at all and fully recovered I can say It's been a long fight and there's a very significant difference between how I was in the past (some years ago) and how I am now. I wish this could be of some help or consolation or something to those suffering from B.P.D and for those who want to try to know what is like despite it's very difficult to understand unless you have B.P.D. Thanks for watching. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a prolonged disturbance of personality function characterized by depth and variability of moods. The disorder typically involves unusual levels of instability in mood; "black and white" thinking, or "splitting"; chaotic and unstable interpersonal relationships, self-image, identity, and behaviour; as well as a disturbance in the individual's sense of self. In extreme cases, this disturbance in the sense of self can lead to periods of dissociation. These disturbances can have a pervasive negative impact on many or all of the psychosocial facets of life. This includes difficulties maintaining relationships in work, home and social settings. Attempted suicide and completed suicide are possible outcomes, especially without proper care and effective therapy. Symptoms may persist for several years, but the majority of symptoms lessen in severity over time, with some individuals fully recovering. The mainstay of treatment is various forms of psychotherapy, although medication and other approaches may also improve symptoms. As with other mental disorders, the causes of BPD are complex and unknown. One finding is a history of childhood trauma, although researchers have suggested diverse possible causes, such as a genetic predisposition, neurobiological factors, environmental factors, or brain abnormalities. Common co-occurring conditions are mental disorders such as substance abuse, depression and other mood, and personality disorders. BPD is one of four diagnoses classified as "cluster B" ("dramatic-erratic") personality disorders typified by disturbances in impulse control and emotional deregulation The term borderline, although it was used in this context as early as the 17th century, was employed by Adolph Stern in 1938 to describe a condition as being on the borderline between neurosis and psychosis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borderline_personality_disorder WARNING: Comments from people (specially youtube trolls with nothing better to do than to mock and laugh at people just to feel better, important or gain attention) who don't know what BPD is and don't even make the effort of reading about it and could start judging people and start speaking about what we must or musn't do or stuff like "stop crying" and other things like "EMO blahblah" will not be tolerated. If the user persists in that kind of attitude will be warned and depending on the exact attitude, blocked.
