Bob Mackie Does Elvis ballet "Blue Suede Shoes" for the Cleveland San Jose Ballet

http://www.facebook.com/officialbobmackiepage May 29th, 1996 marked the world premiere of the Cleveland San Jose Ballet's production of "Blue Suede Shoes": a rock and roll ballet set to the music of the legendary Elvis Presley in commemoration of the unique American spirit that he inspired during the 1950s. Bob Mackie worked as the production's Scenery and Costume Designer. "Blue Suede Shoes" marked Bob Mackie's first foray into ballet as well as the first time he had ever designed scenery. In the end, Bob Mackie created more than 280 costumes and 16 sets for the production.
