Yay! Chapter 1!!! *Alex and Taylor are hanging out at Alex's house* Taylor: *doing piano exercises* We should start our own band. Alex: *playing guitar* I've been thinking of that since forever! We can ask people at music school to play drums and bass. We can share vocals, guitar and keyboards. Taylor: I knew it was a good idea! Alex: Michael is a pretty rad drummer. I bet he would play with us if I ask him Taylor: Cool! You ask him. *stands up and starts going around and randomly picks a big book up* What's this? Alex: Nice way of changing subject! *laughs* that's my childhood photo album. Taylor: *going through the pages* heey this kids look just like... *drops dead* wooahh! Alex: what?? Taylor: *holding up the album and showing her some pictures* you've met the Jonas Brothers??? Alex: uhh yeah... I told you remember?? Taylor: uhm... no you didn't! I think I would remember that. How did you meet them?? Alex: Dude, I'm absolutely sure I told you! They used to live in house next to this one. We've been neighbors since I was 4 Taylor: WHAT?!? Alex: Yeah and then we got in church choir and we've been best friends ever since Taylor: You SOOO didn't tell me any of that *keeps lookin through the pictures and laughs* you and Joe look funny in this pic... and what's with all the chocolate?? Alex: *laughs* That's Nick's 7th birthday. We were trying to bake a cake and somehow we made it explode and it went all on our faces. Taylor: why doesn't it surprise me?? You've been clumsy since the day I met you. Alex: Oh, trust me... since WAAY before. Taylor: when was the last time you saw them? Alex: *smiling brightly* today on TV! Taylor: *laughs* I mean in person! Alex: Uhh... I knew that. Taylor: Uh huh. Sure. Alex: *laughs* Then... The day they left... Taylor: that was a long ago! Alex: well... yeah kinda... it was more than a year ago... just before I was with Michael Taylor: still!! For bffs it's like for ever!!!! Alex: *with sad tone* I know... *pauses and lights up* but we made a promise Taylor: what promise? Alex: check this out *goes up to her locked drawer. She takes a key out of her necklace and opens the drawer and takes out a ring* Taylor: heey! Isn't that like their purity ring?? Alex: yup. Kevin gave me one when they got theirs. He said that they wanted to include me in the promise, and that it would be our symbol for our friendship Taylor: that's soooooo sweet!!!!! Alex: *laughs* I know. They are the best guys ever. Don't tell anyone I know them though... I was kinda keeping it a secret... you know how some fans can be... Taylor: *laughs* don't worry my lips are sealed and I'll take it to my grave Alex: You better! Want something to eat? Taylor: ok Alex: I'll go get us Dr. Pepper and some popcorn. I'll be right back. *runs to the kitchen and prepares the pop corn and goes back to her room with the bowl and the sodas, trips and almost falls* Alex: *groans then laughs* Dang it. *looks inside her can* Oh well. There's still a lot. *smiles* Taylor: *laughs* it's so typical of you. Want help? Alex: *with the sodas and bowl still in her hands* It's ok I got it *bends over to do something about it but the popcorn falls off the bowl* Man! Taylor: ohh yeah you got it *laughs* Here, let me help you *they clean up* I wonder how I didn't see before that you were friends with Joe. You're just as clumsy as he is. Alex: *laughs* Yeah, if I were with the guys right now I would probably be laughing on the floor with Joe, Kevin would be laughin at me and Nick would be the only one tryin to help me up *they sit and eat* Taylor: That sounds so much like them. They are so sweet! Alex: they are. I miss them so much! Taylor: I bet... Alex: the worst part is that I never talk to them on IM or anything... I mean... AT ALL. They changed it so many times I don't have them anymore. Taylor: ooh! Speakin of IM... Whatever happened to that guy you used to talk to? Alex: RocknRoller? Taylor: that guy!! Do you still talk to him? Alex: yeah kinda... not so much lately because Michael gets really jealous haha Taylor: ugh screw him! You've been out for almost a year now... plus RocknRoller is just an IM contact and you haven't even met him Alex: exactly! And I don't even know who he is for real Taylor: are you planning on meeting him sometime? Alex: well... if I did... that would ruin the whole... Uhm... Taylor: the miisteryy!! The magic!!! The romance!!! Alex: *laughs* not ROMANCE!! But as corny as all of that sound... yeah Taylor: oh come on... you KNOW you would die for him if you met him. I've seen the conversations and he is like the sweetest thing ever Alex: maybe... *They hang out for a while longer until Taylor has to go. That night, Alex's phone rings with an unknown number.
