Jewel weed has a chemical that neutralizes poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac oil, so its ok to scratch with Jewel Weed. Jewel weed also works good on mosquito bites, burns, and skin diseases. But its best use is on poison Ivy. It cleared my poison Ivy up in about 1 day.
