Vietnam Veterans Memorial ~ International Woman's Day

Betty HENRY (not Palmer - I'm so sorry for having misread her name tag), and perhaps some of her fellow Volunteers will see this video. I would be most appreciative if viewers would take a moment to thank them in the comment section for their tireless dedication, love and support of those who come to The Wall in search of names, memories, comfort, and peace. After uploading this video, I realized that I mispronounced Carol Ann Elizabeth Drazba's last name. Please forgive me, as well as for any other mispronunciations or errors I might have made. The corrected version of this video may be found at the following link on my alternate channel, PlanetKalacaw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUr8_d72_ac I visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Sunday, March 8, 2009, International Woman's Day. The memorial featured at the end of the video is the Vietnam Womans Memorial, located near "The Wall." It wasn't until after I interviewed Betty, however, that I realized the significance of the day. http://www.internationalwomensday.com/ Vietnam Veterans Memorial http://www.thewall-usa.com/index.asp National Park Service/Vietnam Veterans Memorial http://www.nps.gov/vive About the rubbings: Memorial Rubbings Page http://www.memorialrubbings.com/ Colin Powell http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Powell Gen. I'll pass your gift onto my friend. He'll see this video too, and I thank you on his behalf as well. I will always treasure the happy occasion of meeting you. For me, it was an honor, and never have I been more proud to carry the name of "Betty." And we're all rooting for Mark to come home safely. Also, dearest Betty, look for my Ja Ja sisterhood video, if you have a moment, because it's for you too. It's an old video, but you're a beatiful representation of the sisterhood, so you should be properly initiated. ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAuva0tN6bI To the loving memory of Francis George Graziosi, who's name I wore on a P.O.W. bracelet for many years. His memory and dear family will always be in my heart. Most of all, this video is dedicated to peace. We must never abandon hope. :)
