Video Courtesy: ETV Urdu The 58th annual convocation was concluded with singing of AMU Tarana on June 18, 2008. "Majaz" or "Majaz Lakhnawi" who's original name was Asrar-ul-Haq, was the poet who composed the unforgettable Aligarh Tarana and music has been composed by Khan Ishtiaque. The Chief guest of 58th annual convocation was the former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam. Wipro Technologies Limited chairman, Azim Premji was also invited to grace the occasion. Both of them were conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Science (honoris causa).
