Muhammad Athar Waheed S.P. Gujrawala Pakistan Defying Order!

A superintendent of police (SP) on Wednesday 11 MAR 09 refused to accept the orders to arrest political activists in Gujranwala, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday. According to sources, Gujranwala Civil Lines SP Athar Waheed was suspended for defying the orders of senior officials. He said: I took oath to accept the orders which are in accordance with the law, he said, adding that illegal orders from political masters could not be accepted. Waheed told the channel that everybody had a right to enjoy their fundamental rights under the law.
