Re: The problem of evil is a puzzle??????

Randall, I appreciate your thoughts on the trivialization of the problem of evil. You say theres no way around the Problem of Evil, but what do you think about Process Theology? God is not omnipotent in process theology, as opposed to classical theology (Charles Hartshorne called it NEO-CLASSICAL). God is the most powerful force in the universe in that God sets the parameters of physical law, and works in a ubiquitous way at the base of reality and guides creatures via what Whitehead calls The Divine Lure. But God is not omnipotent and does not exercise DIRECT, efficient causality over the CONCRETE actions of creatures. God and creatures co-create the world, creatures truly have free will---they are free to minimize or disregard the Divine Lure. God exercises persuasive power, not efficient power.
