Carro Veloce CV 33

The Italian tankette (small tank) Carro Veloce CV 33. This tiny tank underwent many modifications throughout its lifespan. It was fitted with a range of armaments including the Breda and Madsen machine guns, a 20 mm anti-tank rifle and a flamethrower. A bridge-laying version was built and an armoured recovery version was prototyped. It was a very successful design that was exported to many countries around the world including Spain, Brazil and Venezuela. The Carro Veloce was used in many conflicts and wars including the Spanish Civil War and the Italian invasion of Abyssinia (now Ethiopea), as well as the Second World War.
