Servo System Fuji Electric FA Components & Systems Fuji Electric FA Component & Systems is now releasing the Fuji Servo System ALPHA 5-Series, a product that offers reliable, high speed, high precision positioning control of industrial equipment. The quick response of the ultra high-speed servo motor provides a response speed at a frequency of 1,500Hz (hertz) per second. The positioning precision of the servo motor also enables 20 bit INC (?20 bit increments?), which converted to pulses is equivalent to a figure of 1,048,576. In addition, a maximum speed of 6,000 rotations per minute was achieved by increasing the speed of the servo motor. As a result of these measures, the new servo system makes it possible to shorten tact time and achieve high speed, high precision positioning stabilization. A pulse smoothing function and an automatic notch filter were adopted as new control functions. The pulse smoothing function improves the accuracy of automatic tuning in real time and enables positioning even when the command pulse frequency is low. The automatic notch filter function can quickly detect machine resonance and automatically set the notch filter to reduce that resonance. The key aspect of this servo system is Fuji Motion Control, which supports the ALPHA 5-Series. Fuji Motion Control is configured with a custom CPU and integrates programming for both conventional sequence control and motion control on one CPU. This design contributes to the construction of systems with simplified wiring, the adoption of high speed serial bus systems, and the construction of flexible automation lines in all types of industrial applications.
