Chapter 8 Part 1

ok...so chapter 8 is a LONG one, so I'm having to split it up into parts.. part 2 should be up tomorrow! RECAP: We were finally on our way to LA. As I looked past Ariel and out the small window, I couldn't help but sense the feeling that something was going to happen on this trip. Something big. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Nick's POV* I stared out the tinted window of the family SUV, watching the palm trees and various buildings zoom past. My dad, Kevin, Joe, and I were on our way to the airport to pic up my mom and Frankie. They had been in some other part of the country for some reason. Don't ask me where or why, because I don't know. My mind had been elsewhere. It has officially been 3 weeks since I last saw Hallye for the first time in 9 years without realizing it until it was too late, and I was becoming more depressed with each passing day. We finally got to the airport and parked in the underground garage. Kevin, Joe, and I slipped on our "genius" disguises which consisted of hats, sunglasses, jackets, and a fake mustache for Joe. He has loved wearing them ever since we shot the Burning Up music video. It was actually kind of funny. We walked through the automatic doors. 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10, I counted in my head. Wow, these disguises must actually be working. It has been a whole 30 seconds and we had yet to be mobbed by fans. "OHH MY GOD, IT'S THE JONAS BROTHERS!! AGHHHHHH!" I heard someone scream in a high-pitch voice. Whoops, looks like I spoke too soon. Before I could blink, we were surrounded. I let out a deep sigh, put on a fake but convincing smile, and pulled out my Sharpie. Who knows how long this would take... *Hallye's POV* -CLICK- Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot, Lance Glidden. Welcome to Los Angeles, California! We will be landing very shortly, sp please fasten your seat belts and secure all loose belongings. I hope you enjoyed your flight, and thank you again for flying with Delta Airlines. -CLICK- I fastened my seatbelt and stretched a little. I looked to my right and saw Ariel out cold with her mouth wide open. She even had some drool on her chin. I giggled quietly then elbowed her in the ribs as hard as I could. "AGHH THE CHICKEN NUGGETS ARE ATTACKING ME!" she screamed and then jolted awake. I tried to fight off the urge, but I couldn't help myself. I started cracking up. (A.N. if you haven't noticed, I laugh a lot lol) Ariel frowned at me and slapped me hard. "I'm sorry.." I managed to spit out while still laughing. My laughed turned into a scream when the plane suddenly dropped. "Are you okay Hallye?" I heard a tiny voice ask me. I turned to see Frankie staring up at me with his big, chocolate eyes. I was entranced for a moment by the familiarity of them. I snapped out of it and said, "Hey there buddy, and yes, I'm fine." I then ruffled his soft, light brown curls, causing him to giggle. I smiled. H: So how was your plane ride Frankie? F: Oh, it was cool, I just played with my Webkinz H: Webkinz? What are those? F: You don't know what Webkinz are?? The look on his face was so cute. It was a look of pure shock. I felt dumb because a 7 year old knew about something that I didn't. So, needless to say, he spent the next 10 or 15 minutes explaining all about Webkinz to me. I felt a bump and looked out the tiny window again. We were just above the runway. There was one more big drop, then the whole plane shook as it landed and raced down the runway. The pilot then slammed on the brakes, causing me to jolt forward in my seat and then slam back. Frankie was practically bouncing out of his seat, while Ms. Denise was telling him to settle down. He must've been excited to see his brothers, which I thought was cute. The plane slowly turned and pulled up to the gate...
