Book TV: Alex Storozynski, "The Peasant Prince"

Alex Storozynski recounts the life of Thaddeus Kosciuszko, a Polish-Lithuanian immigrant to the United States who became a engineer in the Continental Army. He was responsible for the fortifications for Philadelphia and devised battle plans that led to the American victory at Saratoga. Following the War, Kosciuszko returned to Poland and became Commander in Chief of the Polish Army where he led a defense against a Russian invasion and later a revolt of Russian occupation in 1794. This event was hosted by the Polish Embassy in Washington, DC.
