1976 TV series (Rich man Poor man ) 1

My most favorite American drama in my childhood. As World War II comes to an end, two strong-willed brothers (Peter Strauss and Nick Nolte) battle for the attention of their bitter and disillusioned parents (Ed Asner and Dorothy McGuire) and begin a 20-year odyssey that will take one to great wealth and the other to the brink of self-destruction. Rudy is industrious and ambitious, while Tom is tough and independent, often resorting to vicious pranks to gain attention. As Rudy prepares for graduation from high school, events begin to set each on a path of his own. It's the beginning of an unforgettable tale of two destinies that although quite different, can never be separated. Book Two begins with Rudy Jordache, now a US Senator, leaving his wife Julie and apprehending the man who killed his brother Tom. He also takes in Tom's son, Wesley. Much like his father in the mini-series, Wesley is somewhat of a troublemaker. Also into the picture steps Julie's son, Billy Abbot, a very ambitious young man who also brings his share of problems to the mix. Complicating things further, Tom's killer, Falconetti (portrayed once again by William Smith) is released from prison and seeks revenge on Rudy and the rest of the Jordache clan.
