Coop! Video 1

House closing, demolition, and renovations at the new coop house at 126 Fargo in Buffalo, NY. This is a quick cut of the first week of shooting for a feature length documentary film tentatively titled "Coop!". I will upload more video as shooting progresses. I've been filming mostly renovations and meetings so far, and once the kitchen is finished I'll start filming meals once a week. In addition to the progress at the co-op itself I'm also trying to focus on the local connections established by the co-op - interviewing the contractor / roofer / csa farmer / etc. who are immediately intertwined with the co-op. I'm scheduling interviews with 'experts' - heads of co-operative organizations, people who've been around a while like Jim Jones, etc. as well. Love to hear your comments.
