20th Annual Gala Dinner of the SBA Swiss Business Association with Jean-Pierre Blanchard

What a spectacular night it was! The Swiss Business Association celebrated its 20th Anniversary of the SBA Annual Gala Dinner at the Meritus Mandarin Singapore on the 9th of May 2009. The 210 guests arrived to a pre-dinner cocktail reception with free-flowing champagne, after which, the doors of Mandarin Court opened and the guests were welcomed by the Master of Ceremonies, Anita Kapoor, a TV presenter, whose smooth velvety voice and witty banter delighted everyone throughout the night. SBA chairman Christian Pauli gave a welcome message and declared the official beginning of the night of Cabaret. During the second appetisers, suddenly, the lights dimmed. A figure appeared on stage, world renowned French speed-painter, Jean-Pierre Blanchard.. The song Caruso by Pavarotti began to play, and he started to draw squiggly lines, and sprinkle seemingly random spots of paint onto a black canvas. He seemed to be dancing at times and at other times, he resembled a conductor of an orchestra!
