Blending elements of modern jazz, rock, electronica, and 20th century classical composition, haploid 23 has fused the musical passions of its members Mark Gardner, Steve Limpert and Todd Martino into an unstoppable sonic force. haploid 23s goal is to break listeners away from the stereotypical, mundane soundscapes spewed from mass media and give audiences an entirely new and fresh listening experience. haploid 23 emanates masterful virtuosity, fierce energy and an immense love for all music that has come before them. The musicians in haploid 23 have studied with top jazz players from all around the world. Individually, its members have toured around the country with such acts as The Chicago Jazz Philiharmonic Orchestra, Blood Sweat and Tears, Kaki King, Blue Oyster Cult and Travis Barker. Several companies have endorsed the players over the years and have been great supporters of each of their individual causes. These talented musicians have found each other through the Arizona State University jazz program and have joined forces to create a fresh and exciting musical experience for all who are interested in lending them an ear.
