The ATP Cycle

This video attempts to portray the importance of ATP. We explain the ATP cycle and the process of phosphorylation and dephosphorylation. Phosphorylation is the endergonic reaction requiring energy, whereas dephosphorylation is exergonic, giving off energy. ATP is used for many things like muscle contraction, active transport, and basic forms of energy. The energy from cells used up in order to phosphorylate ATP, comes from the processes of Glycolysis, Photosynthesis and aerobic metabolism. The film takes place on the streets of Boston where we interview various people on the subject of ATP. We show the interviews of people who had little knowledge on the subject, and then we explain the subject in between the interviews.
