trout
trout Any fish of the salmon family (Salmonidae). There are three types of the single species of European trout (Salmo trutta). The brown or river trout is small and dark, and does not migrate. The lake trout, of rivers and lakes, is a larger, paler version, and is sometimes migratory. The large, silvery sea trout is definitely migratory and is sometimes confused with the salmon. Length: to 1m (3ft); weight: to 13.5kg (30lb).
