thermal low

thermal low Basically a non-frontal depression associated with strong daytime heating of land surfaces, mainly in summer, which occurs, for example, in Arizona, Spain, and in northern Indian low-pressure cells. The occurrence of thermal lows is also influenced by imbalances in the main wind-streams in the upper troposphere.
