solodic soil
solodic soil Leached, formerly saline soil, associated with semi-arid tropical environments, in which the A soil horizon has become slightly acid, and the B horizon is enriched with sodium-saturated clay. The term was used in soil classification systems derived from early Russian systems based on the work of V. V. Dokuchaev, but is no longer used in soil classification.
