silver leaf
silver leaf A disease affecting a number of ornamental and fruit trees of the Rosaceae, especially plum. The characteristic symptom is the silvery sheen that appears on the leaves of infected trees. Branches show a dark brown discoloration and die back. The causal agent is the fungus Chondrostereum purpureum.
