proclamation

proclamation

proclamation The preaching of the gospel of Christ in words (Gal. 1: 8; 1 Cor. 9: 14; Phil. 1: 17), or the Eucharistic celebration (1 Cor. 11: 26). Proclamation was usually followed by teaching and instruction in the elements of the faith, or creed, though what Jesus did and taught in his ministry may well have been included within the basic proclamation.
