pol·lack / ˈpälək/ (also pol·lock) • n. (pl. same or -lacks) an edible greenish-brown fish of the cod family, with a protruding lower jaw. Found in the northeastern Atlantic, it is popular with anglers. • Pollachius pollachius, family Gadidae.
