mirror site
mirror site A WEB SITE which is a copy of an existing site. The reason for this duplication is efficiency: for example, a United Kingdom mirror site of a WEB SERVER which is located in the United States provides a faster service to European users than the original site because PACKETS do not have to travel as far from the mirror site as packets from the American site.
