mincemeat
mincemeat A traditional product made from apple, sugar, vine fruits, and citrus peel with suet, spices, and acetic acid, coloured with caramel. Preserved by the sugar content and acid. Also called fruit mince. Originally a meat product; in the USA a spiced mixture of chopped meat, apples, and raisins.
