kerygma

kerygma

kerygma Greek, ‘proclamation’: and so those parts of the NT identified by some modern scholars as preaching material rather than teaching material or descriptions of deeds. It includes the proclamation of Jesus' redemptive work in the passion and resurrection (e.g. Luke 11: 32; 1 Cor. 1: 21) usually with references to the fulfilment of OT prophecy. And there is a summons to repentance.
