jigsaw

jig·saw / ˈjigˌsô/ • n. 1. (also jigsaw puzzle) a puzzle consisting of a picture printed on cardboard or wood and cut into various pieces of different shapes that have to be fitted together. ∎ fig. a puzzle that can only be resolved by assembling various pieces of information: help the police put all the pieces of the jigsaw together. 2. a machine saw with a fine blade enabling it to cut curved lines in a sheet of wood, metal, or plastic.

Jigsaw The experimental server which has been developed by the WORLD WIDE WEB CONSORTIUM. Its main use has been to evaluate new Web technologies such as SERVLETS, version 1.1 of the HTTP protocol, and further extensions to this version of the protocol. It is the server equivalent of the AMAYA browser.
