groundwater facies
groundwater facies A groundwater of particular character and chemistry. The concept of hydrochemical facies is based on the assumption that the chemical composition of groundwater at any point reflects a tendency towards chemical equilibrium with the matrix rocks under the prevailing conditions. groundwater facies A groundwater that has a particular character and chemistry. The concept of hydrochemical facies is based on the assumption that the chemical composition of groundwater at any point tends towards chemical equilibrium with the matrix rocks under the prevailing conditions.
