event recorder
event recorder An instrument that is used to record animal behaviour. The operator has a keyboard, similar to that of a small electronic organ, which permits a very large number of signals to be produced by the pressing of keys or combinations of keys. The signals are transmitted to a recording tape from which they can be read by a suitably programmed computer.
