Barnabas, epistle of
Barnabas, epistle of A pseudonymous Christian tract written in Alexandria at the end of the 1st cent. CE decrying the value of the literal observance of Jewish ritual laws. The work appears in full in Greek in the Codex Sinaiticus, and in some early Christian circles seems to have hovered on the edge of the NT canon though never actually accepted.
