coupe1 / koōp/ (also cou·pé / koōˈpā/ ) • n. 1. a car with a fixed roof and two doors. 2. hist. a four-wheeled enclosed carriage for two passengers and a driver. 3. hist. an end compartment in a railroad car, with seats on only one side. coupe2 • n. a shallow glass or glass dish, typically with a stem, in which desserts or champagne are served. ∎  a dessert served in such a dish.
