(also bulls·eye) 1. the center of a target in sports such as archery, shooting, and darts. ∎ a shot that hits such a target center. ∎ fig. used to refer to something that achieves exactly the intended effect: the silence told him he'd scored a bull's-eye. 2. a large, round, hard peppermint-flavored candy. |
