birth·right / ˈbər[unvoicedth]ˌrīt/ • n. a particular right of possession or privilege one has from birth, esp. as an eldest child. ∎  the possession or privilege itself: your daddy's gold watch is your birthright. ∎  a natural or moral right, possessed by everyone: she saw a liberal education as the birthright of every child.
