Zipporah

Zipporah ♀ Biblical name borne by the wife of Moses and mother of Gershom and Eliezer (Exodus 18:2–4). It is the female form of the rare Hebrew male name Zippor meaning ‘bird’. It now occurs mainly as a Jewish name, although it enjoyed wider currency during the 18th and 19th centuries.
