Zara
Zara ♀ Of uncertain origin. It is sometimes said to be of Arabic origin, from zahr ‘flower’, but is more probably a respelling of Sara. It was given by Princess Anne and Mark Phillips to their second child (b. 1981), which aroused considerable comment at the time as it was a departure from the traditional patterns of royal nomenclature.
