Wooster
Wooster , city (1990 pop. 22,191), seat of Wayne co., N central Ohio, in a farm area; inc. 1817. There is food processing and paper, plastic, and brass products are made there. The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center is there, and the city is also the seat of The College of Wooster, which was chartered in 1866 and opened in 1870. |

Wooster, Ohio/USA Laid out in 1808 and named after General David Wooster who commanded American troops besieging Quebec in 1776 during the early stages of the American War of Independence (1775–83).
