Wolfgang Huber

Huber, Wolfgang

Huber, Wolfgang (or Wolf Huber) (b ?Feldkirch, c.1480/90; d Passau, 3 June 1553). Austrian painter, printmaker, and architect, active mainly in Passau in Germany, where he was court painter and architect to the prince-bishop. He was first and foremost a poetic interpreter of landscape and is usually counted among the masters of the Danube School. His landscape drawings are particularly delicate and his religious paintings and portraits sometimes have landscape backgrounds.

Huber, Wolfgang

Huber, Wolfgang (or Wolf) (c.1490–1553). Austrian painter, printmaker, and architect, active mainly in Passau in Germany, where he was court painter and architect to the prince-bishop.
