Va·len·ci·a / vəˈlensēə; -ˈlenchēə/ 1. an autonomous region of eastern Spain, on the Mediterranean coast. It was formerly a Moorish kingdom (1021–1238). ∎  its capital, a port on the Mediterranean coast; pop. 777,000. 2. a city in northern Venezuela; pop. 903,000.
