Transmission Control Protocol
Transmission Control Protocol A major protocol within TCP-IP. It carries out the process of assembling data from applications that run on the Internet, collecting up this data into packets and ensuring that they are transferred safely to their destination. It works in conjunction with the INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP).
