Tokaj
Tokaj, Hungary Lying at the confluence of the Bodrog and Tisza Rivers, its name comes from the Slavonic tok ‘current’, a reference to the rivers. It gives its name to the sweet white wine.

Tokaj , town, NE Hungary, on the Tisza and Bodrog rivers. The grapes for the noted Tokay wine are grown in the surrounding region, where wine has been produced since the 12th cent. |
