Hearne, Thomas

Hearne, Thomas (1678–1735), historical antiquary, author of Reliquiae Bodleianae (1703) and editor of a valuable collection of early English chronicles, of Leland's Itinerary, Camden's Annales, and other works. He was the ‘Wormius’ of Pope's Dunciad.
